When it comes to Dr. Richard T. Jackson’s patients, it’s all hands on deck. The former Navy corpsman, who developed his interest in science while based at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Va., uses a team effort between himself and his patients in approaching their care. He listens to a patient’s history when discussing treatment options that will get them on the right path to resuming their normal activities.

Outside the office he’s tending his garden and occasionally the minds of medical students through his mentoring.
